Poem a Day Challenge, Day 21
Today was Tuesday, so of course Robert Brewer on Poetic Asides offered us a 2-fer. We could either write a haiku or write about the haiku, or do both. And, I tried for both. So, here’s my attempt:
1) Haiku
Thirty years, I’m told.
School friends line up to greet me.
When did I get old?
2) About Haiku (using a Chinese form)
Delicate poetic form travels through time,
Sometimes revered as it passes to each generation.
The lady of poise wears her yukata like a uchikake.
Her geta clacking quietly as the most beautiful haiku.
